Level 2 (240 v) chargers are used for home or work EV charging when the vehicle is sitting overnight or through the workday. An overnight Level 2 charge will give a full charge to most EVs. A 1-hour charge will give about a 30 km range |
The DC Fast Charger (450v DC) is used to top up your charge on long distance trips or during short stops in urban areas. Fast Chargers are usually found at highway rest stops, tourist info centres and urban retail locations. It will give an 80% charge in 30 minutes or less. |
DC Fast Chargers are often supplied with highway signage and pavement markers.
